The first peer-reviewed journal article based on the study has now been published in the Sage journal Global Studies of Childhood. The article, 'Troubling the ‘troubled teen’ industry: Adult reflections on youth experiences of therapeutic boarding schools', is free to access:

Study closed to new participants

I am no longer interviewing new participants for the doctorate. I have now moved into the analysis and writing stages the PhD. Thank you to the 100+ people who completed questionnaires and registered interest in the interviews.
