About the researcher

Sarah Golightley

 

I am a Social Work PhD student at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland. I am a former 'troubled teen' who attended a USA-based therapeutic boarding school. My personal experience inspired me to want to know more about who gets sent to these schools, how former students experienced the schools, and what the long-term impacts have been.
